QUANTRON and HyperView launch QUANTRON China – with Foxconn as industrial manufacturing partner for the next generation of zero-emission and intelligent commercial vehicles

German engineering and industrial quality meet autonomous-driving technology, Chinese scale and diesel-beating economics – first 100 vehicles for Europe by year-end 2026, Gen2 world premiere planned for H1 2027.
QUANTRON and HyperView have agreed to establish QUANTRON China, a new Sino-European technology and industrial platform focused on the global deployment of next-generation zero-emission commercial vehicles. The joint venture combines QUANTRON’s German engineering, industrial quality, zero-emission vehicle integration and international market access with HyperView’s technology and engineering capabilities in autonomous driving, intelligent vehicle systems and its industrial ecosystem in China.
Foxconn will serve as industrial manufacturing partner for the truck and bus platforms, providing the manufacturing scale required for international deployment. QUANTRON China is intended to become a strategic bridge between Chinese industrial scale and global zero-emission transportation markets – serving the Chinese domestic market while providing the technological and industrial foundation for QUANTRON’s international expansion.
Bridge between China, Europe and the Middle East
“The future of the commercial vehicle industry will not be defined by individual vehicles alone, but by scalable platforms, strong industrial partnerships and integrated customer solutions,” said Andreas Haller, CEO of Haller Group and founder of QUANTRON. “With QUANTRON China, we are creating a bridge between China, Europe and the Middle East. Proven experience on both sides
HyperView has already delivered a high three-digit number of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles, primarily in China, with first vehicles also deployed in Saudi Arabia. The company is recognised for its work in intelligent vehicle architectures, autonomous-driving systems and next-generation commercial vehicle technologies.
QUANTRON has already brought a three-digit number of zero-emission vehicles and systems into the market, with customer operations and projects across Europe and the Middle East. Most recently, another QUANTRON hydrogen vehicle was delivered in Brazil together with a local partner. This real-world experience now flows directly into the next generation of the platform.
Gen2 platform as the foundation of growth
At the centre of the cooperation is the new QUANTRON Gen2 commercial vehicle platform. QUANTRON’s engineering work and technology development of the past years will now be combined with HyperView’s expertise in autonomous driving, digital intelligence and intelligent vehicle architecture.
Gen2 is being developed as a new vehicle generation for both battery-electric and hydrogen-powered trucks and buses. It will integrate a new cabin generation, advanced aerodynamics, intelligent connectivity, digital fleet functions and the technological foundation for future autonomous-driving capabilities. The first public unveiling of a Gen2 vehicle is planned for the first half of 2027.
First 100 European vehicles by end of 2026
Before the Gen2 world premiere, the partners plan to put the first 100 vehicles into operation with European customers by the end of 2026. These vehicles will serve as the technological bridge and validation fleet for Gen2 under real-world operating conditions. Operational data, customer feedback, energy consumption, uptime and performance insights will feed directly into the final development and validation of the new platform.
“The first 100 vehicles demonstrate that this is not a distant vision,” said Andreas Haller. “They go into real customer operations this year. What we learn from them flows directly into Gen2. The first vehicles are not the destination, they are the starting point.”
Foxconn manufacturing: German quality meets Chinese scale
Industrial scalability is a central part of the strategy. Foxconn will contribute industrial manufacturing capabilities for the truck and bus platforms, enabling QUANTRON China to combine German engineering and industrial quality requirements with scalable international SKD manufacturing, an industrialised supply chain and competitive production costs.
A major European market opportunity
The industrial setup comes at a pivotal moment for Europe. Under EU CO2 standards for heavy-duty vehicles, average emissions from new heavy-duty vehicles must be reduced by 45% from 2030, 65% from 2035 and 90% from 2040, compared with the applicable reference levels. With hundreds of thousands of heavy commercial vehicles entering the European market each year, the transition represents a major addressable market for zero-emission transportation.
Quantron-as-a-Service: international scale without the green premium
A key pillar of the platform is Quantron-as-a-Service (QaaS). Vehicles from the platform are offered through QaaS rather than a conventional vehicle-only sales model, combining the vehicle with financing, service, maintenance, an uptime guarantee, digital fleet management and, depending on the market and application, energy solutions.
The model is designed to remove the high upfront investment traditionally associated with zero-emission vehicles and enable customers to transition based on predictable operating costs. QUANTRON guarantees that the Total Cost of Ownership of its QaaS offering is lower than that of a comparable diesel vehicle from day one, giving fleet operators immediate economic certainty while substantially reducing fleet CO2 emissions.

With QUANTRON China, the partners aim to establish a new international centre for zero-emission commercial mobility, intelligent vehicle technologies and future autonomous transportation solutions in Shaoxing. The partners intend to build an ecosystem capable of supporting more than 100,000 zero-emission commercial vehicles worldwide over the next decade.
